About Darcy
My business happened accidentally when I purchased a digital slr over 6 years ago. Started taking pictures of my firstborn daughter and my friends started to ask me to take pictures of their kids. One thing led to another and God has shown His favor on my lil' business over and over again over the years! I am all in for Jesus Christ and I am humbled that He wants to be the ruler of my life. =)
My husband, Darin, is truly the better half of me. Seriously. Not only is he the sweetest, Godliest man alive.. I realllly like looking at him. He seriously gets hotter with age. He makes me laugh, challenges me and he's totally my favorite person ever. I have the life I've always dreamed about because he chose me! We have three amazing, gorgeous little girls that keep us on our toes every minute of the day. Most of my days with them include braiding their hair, dancing to Disney Princess songs and telling them to be careful! They are girls but they aren't afraid of anything! My youngest daughter is missing a front tooth because she fell on it about 5 times before it finally fell out. Sigh. I am crazy frugal. If there is a way for me to do something myself in lieu of buying it? I *will* figure it out! We've gutted and remodeled four homes and love making ugly stuff look amazing for cheap! We just built our dream home with the help of junior and seniors in high school. Yup.. you read that right! Seventeen and eighteen year olds built our home. Yes.. my hair is naturally curly. Get asked that a lot and even though it looks like an 80's perm, it's what the good Lord gave me! I LOVE the ease of it but occasionally wish I could run my fingers through it. I am a creature of habit. I go to sleep every night at the same time with House Hunters on, eat the same thing for lunch and have one diet caffeine free coke a day. Amen. You may notice that I only offer three different types of sessions.. families, seniors and a few weddings a year. I have a big heart for families and love making memories for clients to print and hang on their walls. I lost my mother in my early 20's and the only thing I have left are memories and pictures. The images I am taking help people remember legacies. High school-ers have always been an age that I love. Not sure if it's because I act like I'm 18??? or that I love incorporating creativity and things that seniors love into their photos. And weddings... LOVE weddings! I love the honor of being chosen to capture the feelings behind the most important day of a couples life. Creating a story through images that made up your wedding day is so, so fun. Bring on the weddings! |
