brouillette family session

I know I say this all the time.. but I LOVE my repeat clients! Both 4 year old Ava and 18 month old Dean have been baby packagers of mine. I gain a relationship with the kids and mom and dad are so used to my style and technique that they could basically pose themselves for each set-up.
ANd it was kinda fun that Jami and Dan did their pregnancy photos at this very same park when Jami was pregnant with Ava 4 years ago. We haven't been back since in any of their sessions in between. =)

some little siblings love it.. some do not!

digital photography is amazing.. image one was taken one second.. image two the next second...

and the only change was that mama said, "SMILE guys!"

may mini session #2

MINI SESSIONS...
seriously, I love them!
The only thing that's stressful about them is fretting about the weather the days prior to the mini's.
these three sets of families were crazy easy. like I feel like I just go and play and snap a few pictures here and there and people hire me to do so!
TWo out of three of these families have been with me for years.. the other family (last 2 photos) is my eldest daughter's 1st grade teach this year. So fun to get to know her family more!

here are a few images of the five mini sessions I had last weekend!
SUCH a great time even though i had serious anxiety about rain showers.
it ALL worked out and we got some seriously amazing shots!

this was the result of me saying,
"lauren.. do something to make your brother smile!"
and this is what she came up with.
SUCH a problem solver!

and last session.. last three frames on my camera. my five year old friend, Lauren, the budding photographer.
I should actually change my profile picture on facebook because THIS is actually what I look like at sessions!

kendra session

spent wednesday evening with miss 4th grader, kendra! we shot at her grandpa's farm where the hills rolled with beautiful landscapes! it's a double bonus when you drive up and see *THE* most gorgeous setting and a gorgeous little girl to capture. triple bonus that I got to take pictures of her and her bud, Buddy! the kendra and horse images ended up being my favorites!

behles family session

warning.. crazy gorgeous family coming your way!
the behles got on my schedule this year and SO glad they did! Their family was so fun to be around. you could tell they genuinely liked being around each other. you always know they get along when siblings get close and hug and touch each other when I ask them to. =)

werley family session

it's CRAZY flattering when a new client says they've been following you for a super long time! got this family on the books and SO happy that it all worked out! they are just the sweetest family and i SO enjoyed my time with them! time with them included chasing their 18 month old baby around and praying he looked up for a second or two to snap a shot. we DID get some but man, he made me work hard!

thanks for making the treck to use me, werley family! can't wait til next time!!

and the infamous sibling shots.. you make the call if the baby is screaming or happy while his brother holds him!

gatlin at one

hard to believe that gatlin is already one! it seems like baby packagers go faster and faster every year i'm in business.
and gatlin?
can't get much cuter than he is..
he showed up in a tuxedo shirt and then some overalls and baby cowboy boots..
i about died!

these kids are SO fun!
I have photographed them a few times now and the are a riot!
second daughter fell asleep on the way over to the session.
99.9% of the time that this happens it's CRAZY hard to get a happy kid.
the child wakes up and then everyone's telling them to smile and act like they are happy and touch their siblings and be all hunky dorry.
this is NOT a recipe for session success.
it took awhile for her to wake up and love life and scroll down and you'll see how I accomplished that. =)

tickle fest!

boxer puppy jace had to make a few appearances. =)

miss khloe wanted to be by mama.. had to pull EVERY trick out of my sleeve to get her by herself for her individual pics...

and this is how I did it.. miss khloe wanted to be ME.
i let her grab my camera and take a few images of muah.
i had tried candy.
her mama promised ice cream.
we had payed her.
even had the dollar bills up in my crazy, curly fro.

letting her be "me" did the trick and she was a happy camper.

and now you know what a hot mess i look like at sessions!
it ain't pretty!
and I love that my little photo bomber friend bryce made his way into my picture. =)
