oh.. I know I say this A LOT but this is one of my favorite families to shoot! families that keep coming back are priceless to me.. I can't tell you how honored i feel that you were happy enough to return to me over and over again. hiler's kids are just about the coolest. they are so well behaved and love to have fun. they can basically pose themselves with how many sessions we've done over the years which makes my job crazy easy. tried out a new location that was closer to where they live (they live 40 miles away from me) and as you can see, it was perfect. til next time hilers.. til next time! #ProudPapa
the mathews family had never done a full family session before.. just mini's. i hope they liked the slower pace and getting more of the candid, sweet family images that the full family session gives ya. i know i liked getting to know them more then a 30 min session allows!
til next time, mathews family! LOVED our time together! man do i love seniors!
and Jade's session was so incredibly fun.. she knew how to work the camera and has a spunky personality that is SO fun to capture! She's an artist and plays in the band.. loved figuring out how to incorporate her passions into her images. =) also caught the gorgeous lighting at the end of her session.. she told me she loved sun flare so we made sure to snap a few as the sun went down. this was the second half of livi's senior session. we took a few last may before livi had brain surgery on the east coast. they removed a mass and I am happy to report that she's doing AMAZING and it was benign! praise the Lord!
she had to cut her hair for surgery so the first images were from her spring session and they short, cute pixie cut was just from a few days ago. SO happy to have met you, livi! And I can't wait to see what all you do with your precious life! SO good to see the good's again!
Lindsay warned me that her boys weren't so excited for picture day.. not like us ladies get. =) so I came in prepared for 8 year old cole. offered him candy. he doesn't like candy. offered him a dollar to smile at me. he said he'd smile for $5. so we settled at $3. =) LOVE this family and capturing them through the years! I am one lucky photographer to shoot such cool, good looking people! had a few mini sessions this past weekend and they deserve their own lil blog post! first up.. the Twaits family!! then finished up with the Clem family... ethan was tired of playing my games so he suggested we'd play one of his games. this is called the "Star Wars Game." pretty sure i'm going to implement this in my next session.
yup, sure am! awe... this family was so fun. we go to the same church and our church is grand-i-osa so I don't know them, know them. we walked around to find some perfect spots for some family portraits and I basically laughed at their kiddos. =)
loved my time with them and I super hope there's a "next" time! one of my favorite sessions of the year.. one of our sibling sessions! I won the lottery with in-laws.. they are seriously cool. and not only family, but people we'd chose to be friends if they weren't stuck with us! Their kids and our oldest two daughters were born within months of each other so you could say they are tight... because they are. =) Crazy beautiful lighting and a meaningful location.. all in all a great shoot. you all know me and a good laughing picture.. love em! and after eric and liz's session my mother in law came over for dinner with us all so we figured out some clothes for my girls and grabbed a few pictures!
sometimes capturing love and relationships doesn't require hours of planning attire or a location.. just throwing everyone out in a field and the sweetness happens on its own. it's always a bit nerve wracking when I photograph another photographer! Jessica contacted me a few months back and I was SO happy I had space for her family! after the first click i knew their family was going to be easy, peasy. we hit a field and an old factory and their images just turned out so sweet. I hope you like them as much as I do, Jessica! this better get put up in the bedroom, Jessica! Love how cute you two are! And the gorgeous lighting.. Even though I went to purdue.. i still think this image is adorbs. =)
