this is the second time i've captured this family and i hope there are many more... they are just the best!
what a crazy start-of-session this was! there was absolutely NO rain in the forecast and when we got to our location it was clear that the rain wasn't going away any time soon! so we quick rushed to the neighboring town and there we were able to capture their adorable family! nothing like a flower field with a family in bright clothes to make for some cheerful photos!

oh.. i love it when abby comes into town and visits! she's a life-long friend i grew up with from elementary school on and now she lives in florida with her beautiful family. i hadn't met her newest member of the family yet but pierce made me laugh (and chase him) all over the gardens. miss new baby sister soleil had a cold and hadn't slept much the night before so she was fussy if put down. so we did some mommy shots and then we acted like she was a newborn and put her in buckets and a tiny bed while she slept! it was perfect! um.. this is one of my new favorite photos! i can act like I meant for her to smile as her mama kissed her but it was totally luck. or my mad skills. =) you make the call! i wanna eat you up, pierce!
well that there is my flesh and blood.. my sister! my sis lives in washington state which is 2400 miles away from indiana. every year they come for about two weeks so all the 9 cousins can hang out. and so I can see my sister and best friend. =) my bro-in-law flew out at the end of their trip and we were able to do a family session. so without further ado.. here's my sis's beautiful family! why yes.. these two are twins! don't even look like brothers, do they!?!?!?! they have a bond like brothers, tho. =) my fave image from our entire session. i can hear my sister's laugh in this image! love them. and miss them already!!!
til next year! spent my saturday evening with chris and mary a few weeks ago! they had been married for 6 weeks.. said their vows on a beach on the gulf shores with just family members. so of course they had to celebrate with friends and family back in northern indiana! so happy to be apart of their celebration and capture their "ga-ga-ness" of each other! we did some portraits and then headed to the third floor of The Old Bag Factory for the par-tay! it was beautiful and rustic and beach themed and just perfect. =) thanks for having me be apart of it, null's! anxiously awaiting a big ol' party! local brides.. bread and chocolate at the old bag factory is just about the perfect reception venue! so, so pretty and not to mention amazing light. =) just saying. introducing the couple! daddy and daughter dancing images... always some of my faves of the evening!! always a good time when the baby is in the middle of a buncha ladies dancing. =) and a lil' kiss to end the night. what an amazing celebration! you know me.. if there's something funny going on then the camera is gunna capture it.
and i'm going to share it here on my blog. everyone loves some good ol' nose picking humor, right? I DO! oh.. this family. =) we've been together since wyatt (younger son) was a newborn! that was four years ago and I ALWAYS look forward to our annual session! the boys are so well behaved and smiley and fun and funny. we stayed on anna's family farm this time and i'm pretty sure she wasn't surprised when i saw an old truck parked by one of the barns and got crazy excited! apparently I am crazy funny to jaydon. love that boy! new favorite "brother can't shake hands, brother's gotta HUG" image! a mom and her boys.. sigh. =)
cole was pretty much THE easiest newborn, 6 month old and 1 year old I've ever shot. seriously. didn't make a peep at ANY of his sessions! just crazy happy. i would totally have a 4th child if i could order one up as happy as cole! it was an HONOR for me to take his pictures and i'm super sad we're done. he was SO proud of his buddy the sock monkey! just absolutely loved his sweet eyes in this photo!
this was a new family that I was able to get on my books this year! and SO glad.. they were a ton of fun. i love it when you can just tell a family digs each other just by hanging out with them for an hour. =) carter's.. hope there are MANY more sessions in the future! just loved you guys! group hug!! this was 5 year old lucas' idea. =) LOVED the way it turned out, buddy! i had to share this image with you because camden's hair makes me laugh. =)
oh how I love my hiler extended family session day! no joke.. i pretty much laugh the entire time we're together. ALL these kids are so fun and animated and we've been "together" for so long I'm pretty sure they all can pose themselves! they know my style and the kids know that my bag always has smarties in it. =) 18 years married (next month) and debbie and eric still know how to have fun! LOVE this! i feel like for what I know of corinne.. this is her personality to a "t"!!! LOVE out-takes!
i explained this "game" (a pose I wanted) to jeremy's family and this is what they interpreted my explanation to be. didn't match the "look" that my head wanted but man did i get a good laugh! i hadn't seen ms. aila for nine months! Took her 9 month pictures and now she's 18 months old. =) she had grown SO much over the months.. especially her adorable ringlets. she also had a TON of personality. always a bonus when trying to capture "who" someone is in an image. =) the chomer's had JUST moved into their new home so they wanted the session at their home. makes the images *that* much more meaningful. mom and dad were gazing at miss aila.. do you think they are in love with her? just a little bit?
