shelter extended family session

this was a super special session. a client contacted me a few weeks ago and asked for me to take some images of her parents and all the grandkids before her parents move out of the farm they've lived in for 30 some years. I figured out the time to meet up with them because pictures like this are priceless. most of the session was of the grandkids with their grandparents and then I got to meander around the property and take pictures for them to remember... all with grandkids playing, eating donuts and riding play-tractors in the backdrop.
i hope these images can help retain the memories of this family home.

clarissa+austin wedding

clarissa and austin were a complete joy to work with. clarissa booked me very quickly and i'm so glad she did! their engagement session was so, so fun (austin is pretty much the sweetest man to her and anyone around him!).
I knew their wedding would also be fun to shoot. they got married at a gorgeous, rustic but updated barn. no detail was forgotten and the day was a perfect august day. including being about 105 degrees with the heat index.
no one melted and everyone had a ball.

and down the isle they went! they made the traditional decision to not see each other before clarissa walked down the isle. austin's reaction was the sweetest. =)

i loved this look clarissa gave to her daddy before he gave her away. it's like she's saying,
"i love you, pops"
with her eyes.
just loved it!

SUCH a gorgeous ceremony! outdoor ceremonies are the BEST!!! I'd choose them every time!

austin's face and rolled up pant legs? cracked me up. HAD to include this image in their blog post!

sometimes the stars align (literally) and the lighting is perfectly through a 2x2 window in the barn to shine a spotlight on your bride and groom.
holy cow PERFECT!!!

and the lighting and shot was so perfect i had to include a black and white one too cropped a bit differently..

and the dj did this fun dance where austin had to win the dancing approval of his bride and her bridesmaids before he got her garter off. he took his dance-off VERY seriously.

to which the girls denied his first attempt.

so then his groomsmen had to get together and figure out their plan to get the bridesmaids approval.

it finally worked and austin was awarded the garter. SUCH a fun game and they really hammed it up!

such a sweet wedding with a sweet couple. the BEST of wishes to you, austin and clarissa! it was an honor to be apart of your day!!!!

sydney senior session - northridge senior

get ready for another gorgeous senior! do i get lucky or what??? Sydney's sweetness matches her adorableness for sure. i feel like we captured her smile and personality to a "t"!

met up with some family for a session while eldest daughter lisa was visiting from japan! this is my hubby's uncle and his family. loved their attire and how it looked downtown. =)

nicky is a sister of a senior I did 3 years ago. i can not BELIEVE how fast time goes! And how gorgeous two sisters can be! They look totally different but are both totally gorgeous. I hope you enjoy these senior images of a super talented, awesome artist of a senior.. Nicky. =)

kali senior session

I get SO lucky with such sweet, gorgeous seniors. kali is a senior at fairfield and the second we met I knew we'd be friends. she has THE most amazing laugh and smile to go along with it! she's crazy smart, can sing and act.. she's got so much going for her! just honored she wanted me to take her senior pics!

rife family session

this is the second time i've met up with the rife family. they have lived all over the country but their parents still live here. was honored that they scheduled some time to have family pictures while they were home visiting! And GOSH did we get some great images!

ellie+tyler engagement session

these two.. adorbs.
they've been together for something like 6 years.. crazy isn't it!??!
Their wedding date is set for next summer so we had to get together for a few engagement shots! The mosquitoes were horrendous but I believe we won. =) Because they didn't carry us away like we thought they were going to!
I am SO EXCITED about next July's nuptials!

i've been taking this family's pictures sine the twins were in kindergarden! Now they are in the 7th grade! SO CRAZY how time passes. this family is HILARIOUS and I never fee like I'm working with I'm with them. =) Triple bonus.

no matter how old little girls are.. they ALWAYS fit on their daddy's lap!
