I've taken the Jeff Boyer family pics for years.. this time the extended family was invited to come along! And MAN were they a riot! Just crazy awesome families needing some updated pics for grandma's wall.. they told me it has been years and years and years since the last family shot! Glad we could remedy that!
Well this was a fun session! Meet Chandler.. my second cousin. I used to babysit for him when he was a wee lad when I went to Purdue! Now he's a senior and planning his future while finishing up his last year of schooling! They even drove up from Indy in the middle of the week for his session too... I felt honored!
Briana and Karston's love is soooo fun to watch! They have a look that they give each other that anyone around them can tell how much they care for each other. They were dream couple to work with and their wedding was simply gorgeous. I know their lives will be filled with love and joy.. so happy to be apart of their wedding! They are seriously one of the most photogenic couples I have every worked with! I would order up a big fluffy clouded day every wedding day if I could! Briana's first look with her dad was the most sweet thing I've witnessed! There were no words.. just lots of hugs and tears as he saw his baby on her wedding day. And Karston's first look did not disappoint either! I absolutely love first looks with a bride and groom! Briana and her dad.. more sweetness from the both of them! Karston swung her around many times on their wedding day.. each time was cuter than the last! Their speeches from siblings and friends were EPIC! Cake fight was forgiven! Absolute joy. we were able to sneak in a few sunset images and as always they are some of my faves! Thank you for choosing me to be apart of your day! It was lovely and I know your future together is so, so bright!
Oh what a meaningful, beautiful, sacred day Carey and Josh's wedding was! They are a couple in our small group and we've watched their relationship grow for years! We've mentored them, prayed for them, given then guidance and loved on them for almost 3 years now. We just love them. It was SO FUN to be apart of their day.. it was perfect in every way! They were married at the gorgeous Swan Lake Resort in Plymouth Indiana. They resighted their heatfelt vows outdoors under the gazebo. Their reception was a memorable celebration filled with toasts, dancing and joy. Thank you for asking me to be apart of your day, Carey and Josh! Just love you to pieces and I know God's got some amazing things in store for you! Can't wait to see how your story unfolds! Carey is Phil and Beth's only child and man do they love her! I knew it was going to be emotional to see her dad for the first time.. but Phil was beyond emotional! It was so, so sweet. Carey and Josh were very adamant that they did not want to see each other before the ceremony.. we figured out how to let them chat and pray and give each other their gifts without them seeing one another. Oh the mama's.. THE MAMAS! Oh Josh.. you were KILLING US with your emotion as your bride walked towards you! "Look around and see everyone in your lives that LOVE YOU!" Mr. and Mrs. Ailes!!!! Every couple introduced had a cute little diddy they danced.. including the parents. PRICELESS! And then the entire bridal party busted a move. It was an amazing start to the party! Carey and Josh have been together for over 4 years.. they basically grew up with each other. They were unable to attend each other's senior prom's so they decided to save their first dance for their reception. This was the first time they had EVER danced with one another! I've seen them at many weddings and I can attest that they haven't danced! Josh and his mama invited Carey into their dance at the end. Joshua.. you kinda missed Carey's face! The shoe game.. always entertaining! Never disappoints. The dancing was epic.. Josh (and his boys) could DANCE! I think Josh may get his massive moves from his mama... Or he inherited his grove from his grandma... Actually.. I think his dancing ability is from his grand-dad! Thank you for asking me to be apart of your day, Carey and Josh! I can't wait to see what the Lord does in your lives as a married couple!!!
This year Dan and Trisha added their extended family to their yearly session! And we met at a meaningful place.. their lake home. It was fun meeting the entire family AND sister Michelle asked me to be their wedding photographer next June! Beau.. you never disappoint us with your funny posing! I do believe that last years funny posing went up on your parents wall!!
Every summer when my sister and her 4 boys visit I try my hardest not to take on sessions while she's here. We only see them once a year so it's when cousins are continuing their relationships from the summer before. We always manage to get updates pictures while they are here so these are those images! My brother and his wife are up first.. they live next door but we still try to update their photos while my sis is her just because my schedule has slowed down!
Jody and Lyndon's day was smoking hot! In fact.. it was a heat index of 100 degrees! The weather didn't deter them from being absolutely gorgeous and and their day going down right perfect. Their outdoor ceremony was so heartfelt and meaningful.. one of my faves! Enjoy the images of their wedding day! I'm pretty sure I've told 50 people about their head table decor! It is hands down my favorite ever! With the cascading greenery above and the miss-match china and antlers.. it was downright perfection! I'm kinda trying to figure out how to do their cascading greenery on my back deck... We did their sunset images without the sun but they were still gorgeous and sweet! I LOVED the boys' boutonniere's! Lyndon and Jody both hunt so the boys' bouts were made out of old shot-gun shells. So, so creative. It was my first time shooting at The Patchwork Quilt Inn and it was so, so quaint and pretty! The different china and miss-matched goblets? So, so unique! That is Jody's true hair color.. I know.. the girl is drop dead gorgeous! Jody's dad wasn't a man of many words but I think you can tell what he thinks of his baby girl all ready for her wedding... Now it's time for Jody and Lyndon's first look! I think Lyndon was a bit nervous to see his bride for the first time.. big... sigh... And I'm pretty sure he approved. In lieu of a unity candle they braided a rope together on a cross.. it was such a good representation of Ecclesiastes 4:12 "A cord of three strands is not easily broken." That moment in the ceremony when they read letters to each other.. and Lyndon made sure to mention a "P.S.. and you'll let me go hunting and whenever I want to..." And when they were done braiding the three cords on the cross they put the nail at the foot of the cross to hold it all together.. now I want to re-new my vows to my hubby and do this! Such a cool representation of leaving your self at the foot of the cross and vowing to be woven with Christ through your marriage!! Mr. and Mrs. Slabaugh! It was 100 degrees but it didn't stop anyone from cutting a rug! "I've got friends in low places" playing with the bride and groom getting serenaded in the middle finished up the night! Such a wonderful wedding.
THANK YOU Jody and Lyndon for having me be apart of your day! Oh what a GLORIOUS day Tanya and Michael's wedding day was! These two are in our small group and we just love them. It's been so, so fun getting to know them and helping them prepare for their wedding day! They got married at Amish Acres in Nappanee, Indiana and every time I shoot a wedding there I love the charm and feel the venue gives. Michael grew up on a dairy farm and getting married in the big red barn was perfection. Tanya's already told me that she's in love with her images and when she looks at them it takes her right back to her wedding day.. always one of my goals! Such gorgeous, gorgeous ladies! I LOVE first looks between the bride and groom prior to the ceremony! Most of the time the groom give way more of a reaction than if he sees his bride walking down the isle. It also allows myself and 2nd shooter to get up close and personal to capture the emotion of both the bride and groom. I LOVE first looks! Can't say enough positive about them! My second shooter and I always take a step back and let the bride and groom have a moment alone together before we start portraits. It's a quiet moment of a busy day that is so, so sweet! Pretty much this groomsman's vertical hip-bump almost took out a bridesmaid during their introductions! Michael planted a big ol' kiss right as they were announced.. perfect! Sister speaches get me EVERY time! Every time! Well lookie who Tanya's dancing with!!! My ladies were at this wedding! And they were invited to two of my weddings in a row.. so pretty much they assume they are coming with me to every wedding I shoot to dance to the Wobble and Cuban Shuffle. AND Joya is by Alexis whom was a December 2015 bride and Carey is dancing with my Em whom's wedding is in 4 DAYS!!!! Line up all those dh brides! Love a dancing bride! Grabbed the bride and groom for some sunset images.. always some of my favorites from the day!!!! Such a beautiful day! SO glad to be apart of it!
