Meet another new dh photography family.. the Martin's! They were hilarious and soooo fun to hang with. We've gone to church together for years and I'd never spent a chunk of time with them.. I want that to change! They were a riot! Thanks for choosing me, Martin family! Had a blast and we have some images to prove it!

Welcome to the dh photography family, Cadwells! Theresa admitted to me that she followed me a decade ago on my old blog 9 ( darcyholsopple.blogspot.com/ )! Oh the good ol' days of my mama blog! I was SO excited to meet them and they had a crazy adorable family! The olders were so well behaved and fun and smiley and the baby would give *the* biggest grin when we gave him the thumbs up.. like literally we'd put our thumbs up and he'd bust out laughing! Well that was easy! Thank you for making the drive for our session, guys! I'm always honored and humbled when that happens!                        What a FUN session this was! First of all, Amanda's sister coordinated the entire thing! Is that not the sweetest sister act ever!?!? We had an amazing session on the dunes of Silver Beach. It was SO fun to meet them and I know one thing.. that baby is going to be SO loved!                     What a GORGEOUS day it was for Julia and Stephen on June 17th, 2017! Their day was filled with their gorgeous details coming together all while celebrating with their closest friends and family. They were *the* sweetest couple to work with.. super laid back and very organized with their plans for their big day. I hope and pray that their commitment on June 17, 2017 will be remembered by the story their images tell. One of love, celebration and lots and lots of fun!!!!                                                                        First looks are always amazing! At least in my humble opinion they are! An up-close view of your soon-to-be spouse on the most important day of your life.. it's priceless!          The new Mr. and Mrs!     Time for the PAR-TAY!!!        Julia and her dad decided to choreograph their own dance for the daddy/daughter dance.. it was EPIC!          Even mama and papa Gresik cut a rug on the dance floor!  SUCH a wonderful wedding day. Thank you for asking me to be apart of it! I wish you years and years and years of wedded bliss!  The annual Kio family session means I get many laughs and we document another year of their family! What's awesome is that my photography business brought Jill and I together. When their 2nd son was 3 months old she contacted me to take his pictures. Now he's 8 and going into the 3rd grade and Jill is in my group of buddies that have named themselves "the Fab Five". I mean, when you give yourselves a name like that of course you are fabulous, right? Their family is also fabulous.. Eben is an oncologist and every year when I post their sneak peaks on FB I'm always touched by the many people that give praise him up and down because he was their or a loved ones doctor. Just love this family and am SOOO happy our paths crossed 8 years ago because of this little business!                        And the Grand finale that mama Jill promised the kids was to be able to jump in the pool with their clothes on! The girls wanted bathing suits but Benjamin and Elijah were game!  And when you shoot at your best friends house she may or may not invite your hubby and kids to swim while you are shooting. (My eldest not pictured because she was at church camp) Jumping into a pool at sunset? Well ok!  Hannah had SUCh a busy schedule that I'm crazy happy we found a time to shoot! It was threatening in the weather department but we moved fast and got her entire session in before the storm came! She looked absolutely stunning and I had a blast with her.. she's going to do BIG things in her life, I know it!                        Oh.. this has been a long time coming! Kenny and Carlie have been dating for years.. through some of high school and all of college. They are hilarious and sweet and you can tell that they are best friends. Their wedding is in December this year just weeks after they both graduate from college! It will be here before we know it, guys! I have known Carlie for years and years as well. Just today she let me know that the first time I took her family's pictures she told her mom that someday I would take her wedding pictures and that she's so happy it's finally coming true. Oh my word.. talk about getting all choked up! I love you Carlie and am HONORED to be there on your wedding day, girl! I can not WAIT for your nuptials, guys! I know it will be Christ-centered, family honoring, and a memory making BLAST! Glad I can help freeze time with images and help the memory making last your entire lives!               Ice cream has a lot of meaning in their relationship... getting ice cream was their first date (verdict is still out to whom asked whom out) and now whenever there's an exam coming up, Carlie needs a stress reliever or they just want to talk.. ice cream is always involved. As a fellow ice cream lover I vote ice cream to make a debut at the reception, guys! Just a suggestion!   Carlie's grandma always had a wildflower field at her house and she has amazing memories of spending time there.. it was a request that Carlie had when we were chatting about their engagement session location. When we got to the wildflower field Carlie said it looked exactly like her grandma's field.. LOVE that we were able to find the perfect look!             I ALWAYS look forward to the Rassi family session! Back in the day when I did newborn photos, I did Wyatt's newbie session! He's now going into the 1st grade! Man time flies when you are having fun! They are a completely delightful family and I'm always super honored when they choose me year after year for their family session. Til next time, Rassi family!                  Faleece's session may be in the running for the most times for us to try a session and get rained out, having a game rescheduled to shooting day, etc. She lives in Indianapolis so we had travel to consider as well! We had the perfect morning to shoot until we got poured on in the middle of our session.. ha! We survived and pushed through and have images that are Faleece in EVERY way! Love incorporating what seniors love into their session! Thanks for making the trek to northern Indiana and doing AMAZING at your session, Faleece!                   Meet my first 2018 senior.. Kylie! You would never guess that Kylie prefers to be in yoga pants and a t-shirt with her hair in a pony! She came to her session dressed to kill and her hair and makeup was on point! She's such a cool girl and I had so much fun hanging out with her all evening!                    |
