this family session was a first with this family and I! I took daughter Brooke's senior pictures a few years ago so it was fun to see her again. =) the family just looks marvelous in this garden! this little girl is SOOO loved! It was fun so see how much her parents, grandparents and aunt and uncle loved her. We ended the session by kicking the boys out of the picture and taking a ladies image. turned out just splendidly.
This couple.. oh they are sweet together! We met just a few weeks ago when we discussed the possibility of me capturing their wedding. We hit it off right away and I could tell how sweet they were to one another. Their e-session proved that. =) We hit a frequented bike trail they ride for some pictures of what they are "in" to and then ended at Clay's house where he has vintage tractors. And can I tell you how excited I am about their venue? It's at the Kellogg Manor House in September and I'm already PUMPED! Had to include some images with the baby of the family.. Tiffany's pup! Simply LOVE this one! tractor engines get wayyyyy cooler to a chick when you put a big, sparkly diamond on it! on our way back to Clay's house we had some ladies hold up our drive. only in Indiana do you get in a traffic stop by waiting on cows to cross the street... only in Indiana!
I was so excited when I heard from Jessica in the potential to capture their reception. She has a beautiful personality and I LOVED that she figured out how to have her dream wedding. A few weeks ago Nick and Jessica were married on the beach in Mexico and had a traditional reception this past Saturday. How cool that they figured out how to have the best of both worlds.. a destination wedding and a traditional reception. It was a beautiful day and then within 10 minutes the day turned from sunny to pouring rain. We were able to get all our formal pictures taken before the storm came through... hallelujah! so sit back and enjoy Nick and Jessica's Indiana celebration of their wedding. =) Their reception was at Oakwood Inn and Resort.. special place in my heart because I worked there all my high school and college summers. Know that place like the back of my hand. =) Marquee letters? ALWAYS a good idea! I know this isn't Cancun.. but not to shabby for Indiana! Lake Wawasee never disappoints. Doesn't Jessica look like Sandra Bullock? #TWINS! This was literally 10 minutes before the rain came in! Nick didn't get the first dance with Jessica.. her sweet new niece did! Introducing Mr. and Mrs. Shilling! They did their own toasts and they were perfect! And soooo many guests danced.. always a bonus! Such a memorable day. Thanks for inviting me along!
Ok so I love the Clem family sessions because the boys NEVER lack personality! They make me laugh the entire time and are high energy.. but I love it! They are a riot and cutie-head Ethan mayyyy have a crush on my daughter Joya. We talked about going for ice cream after his session and he was kinda wondering if Joya could come. Oh my word! It has begun! The Clem's are just good people and I'm honored they choose me to take their family pics. It really is an honor, ya all! I'm pretty sure this needs to go on their wall.. And a brotherly hug isn't complete without squeezing a bit too hard.... Me: "Ethan.. give me your GQ look" Ethan: "I have no idea what GQ is..." And then he gave me this look... it is so incredibly handsome! Told Liam to laugh in my face.. loved the outcome! Had to end with one of Ethan making fart noises with his hands. =) You can all imagine the sound.. I know you can. =)
I know I say this a lot.. but I love my clients. Hiler's are my twice a year family session that I absolutely adore. They are always dressed to the "t", are crazy photogenic and their kids are THE most behaved children on the planet. They are moving to Indianapolis in a week and I hope we can still work out our sessions.. but I will understand if we can't. It makes me sad so I don't think about it. =) instead we'll drool over this adorable family and their happiness.. mmmm kay? The olders kinnnnda like their baby sister.
just a little bit. This is one of my favorite families! I get a hug, high fives and shout outs at church every time I see the kiddos. The weather has been CRAZY rainy here for weeks so this was a reschedule.. it started raining right after we were finished. One point for US! I love how Carson is holding a flower that looks like he's holding a microphone for Mia to take her platform. Knowing Mia I think she'd love the opportunity to tell the gardens a joke or two! Everyone HUG mama! They did a super job at it! The day of our session was Jeremy and Katie's 12th wedding anniversary. Kinda fun we captured their family on their anni! magically Mia's kiss on little bro's cheek grossed out big brother. love it! love me some daddy/daughter images! these two couldn't be sweeter!
Oh.. the Miller family.. so sweet, so easy and just a pleasant family! We are both in the (my self made) elite 3 daughter club. I have a special place in my heart for families with 3 daughters! This was the first time we met and we kicked it off right away. LOVE it when that happens!
Ah... this is one of my favorite families! But I think I tell you that all the time. =)
No, really! These peeps are FUN! Super cute, energetic and adorable. Love our once a year meeting! |
